Benefits of Drinking Plenty of WaterIt is highly recommended for everyone to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. Drinking plenty of water promotes over-all physical wellness. Body Cleansing and Better Transportation of Nutrients
Drinking plenty of water will really help cleanse our bodies. It washes off the toxins in our system. It also helps in avoiding the formation of stones in our body caused by deposits of salt that we obtain from different kinds of food we eat. We all know that our bodies consist of 50% to 70% water so drinking plenty of water will help in maintaining the water content that our body needs. Water is also a significant factor in the transport of nutrients to our body’s cells and tissues.

Drinking Water Makes You Smarter
And this is not a joke. According to studies, drinking water increases congnitive function – this includes thinking, reasoning, memorizing, comprehension and awareness. So how is the magic done? Well it is not actually magic. It’s simply science. Your brain needs oxygen in order to function properly. Lots of oxygen means, your brain gets to perform at optimum levels. When you drink plenty of water, more oxygen is driven into your brain. That’s basic reasoning right? And guess what, drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water actually enhances congnitive functions by as much as 30 percent!

Contributes to Weight Loss
Some may not believe it but it is a proven fact that water can be a good tool for losing weight. The main reason behind this is that if we use water as a replacement for juice, soda or alcohol, then we will definitely get rid of obtaining too much calories from these drinks. Water is also a good appetite suppressant. Sometimes, we often mistaken the feeling of thirst as being hungry. So instead of gulping too much solids that may bring lots of harmful elements to our bodies, drink plenty of water. Remember, water has zero calories, zero fat, zero sugar and zero carbs.

Prevents Dehydration and Fatigue
Water also prevents our bodies from being dehydrated. Dehydration saps the energy out of our bodies and this can lead to fatigue and weakness of the muscles. Drinking water prevents our bodies from being dehydrated as we face our day to day tasks.

You’ll Look and Feel Younger
Don’t get me wrong about this. I’m not referring to the water from the fountain of youth. No one touches that okay? When you drink plenty of water, your skin gets moisturized. Water also helps in replenishing skin tissues, preventing fine lines and wrinkles. A healthy-looking skin definitely makes you look younger.

Good for Your Joints
Most people don’t know about this fine benefit of drinking plenty of water. It actually helps in keeping your joints strong and healthy. Water provides moisture to your joints, lubricating it to keep it flexible and intact.

Normal Bowel Function
If you’re not visiting the toilet on a daily basis (peeing and bathing do not count), then you might be having an irregular bowel movement. Drinking plenty of water promotes proper flow in your gastrointestinal tract. Hydration is also an effective way of treating constipation because if you lack water in your body, your colon tends to pull water from stools. Combined with adequate fiber intake, drinking plenty of water will clean up your gastrointestinal tract, resulting to a normal bowel function.

Water Above All Else
Some people take drinking water for granted. We have this nature of not appreciating something that’s easily accessible. Water, for instance, is easily acquired. You just go to the kitchen and turn on the faucet, and there you go! There’s plenty of water for everyone! But if we’re dealing with soft drinks, or perhaps a cocktail mix, then it’s a totally different ballgame. So let’s be mindful of the fact that water is still the best fluid to take in. It’s the purest of them all. The above benefits are proven true and accurate. So get that glass, mug or bottle and hydrate your body with water.

Word of Precaution
Be sure that you’re getting clean and safe drinking water. In some areas, tap water, or water that comes out directly from faucets may contain different sorts of contaminants. Be sure to check first if your water is clean and if not, perform precautionary measures such as installing a water filter, boiling the water or ordering safe drinking water from water refilling stations nearby.
